About MehndiDesign Hub
What this site is
MehndiDesign Hub is a free, daily-updated library of mehndi design photographs. Every image is shot or sourced in high resolution so you can zoom into the line work and copy it accurately, whether you are applying henna yourself or showing a reference to your artist.
How designs are organised
Each design is filed under one or more categories covering style (Arabic, Indian, Pakistani, minimal), body part (full hand, back hand, front hand, finger, feet, leg), person (bridal, groom, kids) and occasion (engagement, Eid, Karwa Chauth, Teej). That means the same photo can be found from several directions, which is how most people actually search.
Editorial approach
Designs are chosen for clean line work, balanced composition and how well they photograph once the stain has developed. Difficulty is labelled honestly — if a pattern needs a steady hand and forty minutes, it is not filed under "easy".
Safety
We only feature natural henna work. We do not promote so-called "black henna", which contains paraphenylenediamine (PPD) and can cause chemical burns, permanent scarring and lifelong sensitisation, particularly in children.
